A dear pastor had reached out to me many years ago, he was concerned about certain behaviors and patterns in the congregation he pastored, he had prayed about it, challenged a few folks about it but the pattern remained. He started praying in tongues about the matter more and more. He related how God told him to speak with me. We spoke for a bit and then I asked him “ what is your stance on so and so subject matter?” I listened and listened as he taught. BOOOOOMMMM!!! There it was.
All I needed to know was in his teaching.
You see Doctrines are like laying mattresses, as you lay the bed of doctrines in your congregation, so you all lie on it.
You can’t spread blue duvet and come later to lie on red quilt at night.
Sometimes the issue is not with the members sir but rather with your presentation of the gospel.

An advantage taking pulpit will produce a cunning pew….
A studious pulpit will produce an established pew…
A prayerful pulpit will produce a non-anxious and non-worrisome pew….
A holy ghost yielding pulpit will produce a guided pew….
A loving pulpit will produce a kind pew…
An arrogant pulpit will produce a proud pew….
An encouraging pulpit will produce a driven pew…
IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS….WHEN THE SEED SOWN FROM THE PULPIT GROWS…THE CONGREGATION IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR PLANTINGS.
i am always very careful…as I prepare my notes, I go over it, over and over till the spirit of Christ helps to remove every seed that needs not be planted. In prayer before my teachings I open up and allow him rid me of any weed that I may have added to the precious seed of truth.
I AM STILL NOT PERFECT IN THIS BUT THIS I CONSISTENTLY DO…BECUASE I KNOW ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME….THE PEW WILL EQUAL THE PULPIT IN ITS EXPRESSIONS. THE PEW WILL IMITATE THE PULPIT EVENTUALLY.
